Representative Jonathan Jordan is an attorney with a solo practice in Jefferson, NC. He helps people purchase homes and land and guides them when they need a will and estate planning. He’s proud to raise his two quickly growing children here in the mountains of North Carolina where they attend local public schools.
Since 2011, Jonathan has also been proud to represent the High Country in the North Carolina House of Representatives. During that time, he has spearheaded a wide range of legislation that includes standing up for state employees, protecting children in our court system, respecting the environment, looking out for small businesses, keeping taxes low on our hard-working families, and more.
As a small town attorney, Jonathan is keenly aware of the issues facing everyday families – he meets with them on a daily basis in his local law office. Whether it’s education concerns, property rights issues, helping out Ashe and Watauga constituents with state agencies, or making sure the High Country is not forgotten in Raleigh, Jonathan works hard to be our voice in the halls of the General Assembly.
A native of North Carolina, Rep. Jordan completed high school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. And he received his law degree and MPA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
